Brickfair VA is only two weeks away. As of today, 976 people are registered to attend. That's a lot. They're coming from all over the US and even Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Denmark. Kevin Hinkle, Paul Striefler, and Kim Thompson from the Lego Group will also be there. The expo building itself has been expanded, so this is shaping up to be the biggest even to date. We're excited.
If you'd like to participate in the five-day event, there is still time to register. Of course, it's also open to the general public Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th. Click here for a map of the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. Our Lewis Ginter display will be there as well as several other models.
You don't have to travel as far for the next event, which will be right here in Richmond. Brick Fest Live is coming to the Greater Richmond Convention Center the weekend of September 17th and 18th. In addition to our Brickfair displays, it also sounds like Brian Korte will be showing some of his Lego mosaics.
Only one week later, on Saturday, September 24th, is RVA MakerFest at the Science Museum, also here in Richmond. This is a free event, featuring interactive demonstrations in science, art, technology, engineering, and much more. We will be participating in this as well, with our own display.
