Meeting update

At our December meeting we hosted several rounds of bingo for prizes and a community minifigure exchange. 9 lego sets were distributed during our gaming session. The December build challenge was to take an existing set and winterize it. Tyler G. took home the December build challenge prize, which was Lego Ideas 21340 Tales of the Space Age, for his entry – Gandalf the Red at Winter-dell.

Upcoming Event Reminders

February 8 and 9 – Fredericksburg Children’s Expo

• The children’s expo is an annual event that James K. and Karen J. coordinate. Check in on the dedicated discord channel for this event if you’d like to assist with set up, tear down, or to display your own creations at the Expo. March 15 – 4th annual RVA Brick Day

• Our 4th annual RVA Brick Day event is 10 to 4 PM Saturday March 15th, with set up hours starting Friday Night. Please take a moment to fill in the survey below if you’d like to help plan this event. March 27 -30 – BrickFair Fredericksburg

• BrickFair returns to Fredericksburg on March 27th, With Dennis R. coordinating our overall Layout and Connor O and Sean W coordinating our city and train layout. Let us know how you would like to participate by filling out the survey form below. Build Challenge Update

January:

Build a vignette for a news story or pop culture moment from the year 2024.

Arkham Asylum. Like the museum challenge, but jail cells for the criminally insane. Standards guidance TBD.
